01

Confirm employer eligibility

Your company must be registered with HRD Corp and contributing the monthly levy (1% of wages mandatory, 0.5% voluntary). Confirm your levy account is in good standing on the eTRiS portal.

Checklist
  • HRD Corp registration number on hand
  • Levy paid up to current month
  • eTRiS portal access for an authorised user
02

Pick a programme & request a quote

Choose one of the three TrainHRDF programmes — or a customised mix — and request a quote. We come back with a registered course code, programme outline, trainer profile, and indicative claimable amount.

Checklist
  • Final cohort size, role mix, and dates
  • Choice of in-house, virtual, or hybrid delivery
  • Quotation in HRD Corp-friendly format
03

Apply for the SBL-Khas grant on eTRiS

Inside eTRiS, raise an SBL-Khas application using the course code we provide. Upload our outline, trainer CV, and quotation. Programmes must commence within 6 months of grant approval.

Checklist
  • Grant application submitted ≥ 14 days before training
  • Trainer CV + outline + quotation attached
  • Approval letter saved for your records
04

Run the training

Our certified consultants deliver the cohort. Attendance, materials, and competency artefacts are auto-logged so the post-training paperwork is ready on day one of your claim window.

Checklist
  • Daily attendance signed (digital or physical)
  • Pre/post assessments captured
  • Trainee evaluation forms collected
05

Submit your claim within 6 months

After completion, file the claim via eTRiS using our handover pack: signed attendance, invoice, evaluation summary, and competency artefacts. Claims must be submitted within 6 months of training completion.

Checklist
  • Tax invoice from Ai Teragrid
  • Signed attendance sheet (per day)
  • Trainee evaluation summary report
06

Track reimbursement & plan the next cohort

HRD Corp reviews and reimburses the approved amount to your employer account. Use the documented productivity gains to scope the next cohort — and put more of your levy back to work.

Checklist
  • Reimbursement received and reconciled
  • Internal ROI write-up filed
  • Q+1 cohort scoped with TrainHRDF
Frequently asked

How much can my company claim?

2026 caps are typically RM10,000/day/trainer (group) and RM1,750/day/participant (individual). SMEs (≤200 staff) often qualify for 100% subsidy under SBL-Khas; larger employers commonly land at 50–80%, subject to scheme rules.

What is the application timeline?

Training must commence within 6 months of grant approval. Claims must be submitted within 6 months of training completion. We always pad these dates with a buffer in our cohort planning.

Can we run cohorts in Bahasa Malaysia?

Yes — every TrainHRDF programme runs in EN, BM, or bilingual delivery, with bilingual handouts and competency artefacts.

Are virtual cohorts claimable?

Yes. SBL-Khas covers in-house, virtual, and hybrid delivery models. We tailor the documentation per format so your eTRiS submission stays clean.

Who owns the post-training artefacts?

You do. Workbooks, recorded sessions, agent prompts, and run-books all stay in your tenant and your shared drive. Trainers retain teaching IP only.

Can TrainHRDF help us file the claim?

We hand over a complete claim pack and walk your HR/Finance team through the eTRiS submission. We do not file on your behalf — your authorised user always submits.
